Contact-Lens Care
Good habits are an essential part of a successful lens routine.

Begin with hands-on instruction
Our team guides children and parents through insertion, removal and the care routine prescribed for their lenses. The instructions for Ortho-K and daily disposable soft lenses are different. Follow the directions given for your child's specific lens.
Make the routine consistent
Wash and dry hands before handling lenses. Use only the recommended products and replacement schedule. Keep contact lenses and their cases away from tap water. Do not share lenses, reuse daily disposables or wear soft daytime lenses while sleeping.
Keep follow-up appointments
Even when vision feels good, examinations help check eye health, lens fit and the treatment response. Bring lenses, their case and care products when requested by the office.
Know when to stop and call
Remove lenses and seek prompt professional advice for pain, unusual redness, light sensitivity, discharge or reduced vision. Do not put a lens back into an uncomfortable or red eye unless your eye-care professional advises it. For urgent concerns, call 310-208-3011; if the office is unavailable, seek urgent eye care.
This page supports, rather than replaces, the instructions provided during your child's fitting. Explore Ortho-K or daytime lenses.
